The Lion King (1994) is the 32 animated musical movie released by Walt Disney Pictures.

The plot follows Simba, the heir to the throne of the animal kingdom. With his birth the title is taken from king Mufasa’s younger brother, Scar. Unpleased with his current state, Scar plots to murder Mufasa and Simba, and seize the throne for himself. At the last moment, Mufasa saves Simba and pays with his life. Scar convinces Simba that he is to blame for the death of his father, and urges him to flee far away.
Simba meets Timon and Pumbaa, who teach him their approach to life – Hakuna Matata – it means No Worries. When Simba saves his friends from a hungry lioness, he learns that his lands turned into wastelands under Scar’s reign. He realizes his responsibility, and accompanied by Nala, the lioness, and his friends, he decides to go back and fight his uncle in an attempt to save the kingdom. He learns the truth about Scar’s part in his father’s death and wins the fight and saves the kingdom, bringing prosperity and hope, promising the continuation of the circle of life.
